Project Description

Palmer was engaged by engineering firm, EIS, to complete environmental investigations on the Port Robison Lagoons, a Niagara Region wastewater treatment facility where previous work had identified soil, groundwater, and sediment impacted by hydrocarbons, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and metals. These impacts were associated with the presence of sewage lagoons and imported fill material used to develop berms around the lagoons.

Additional investigations identified the scope of the impacted material to support decommissioning activities and potential re-use of the property by a more sensitive land use.
