Project Description

Palmer, in association with KGS Group and North/South Consultants, was retained by SaskPower to complete a critical review of fluvial processes and morphological changes to the Saskatchewan River downstream of the E.B. Campbell Hydroelectric Station near Nipawin, Saskatchewan.

The assessment strengthened understanding of how the facility’s associated dam and operation have contributed to downstream morphological changes and evaluated several mitigation opportunities to help improve fish habitat along the Saskatchewan River. The results are informing renewal of a Fisheries Act Authorization for the project.
