Project Description

Palmer was retained by PEC Community Partners, an association of developers operating in Prince Edward County, Ontario, to lead investigations into the geotechnical, ecological, hydrogeological, and environmental conditions of the Picton Airport.

We assessed hydrogeological conditions associated with potable water supply and water servicing. The Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) revealed the presence of impacted soil and groundwater at the site as a result of historical airbase operations and underground storage tanks. A geotechnical assessment assessed site physiography, soil conditions, bearing capacities, earth pressures, and bedrock conditions. Additionally, natural heritage features were reviewed by our team to identify and characterize the full scope of constraints and opportunities for property redevelopment.
